Terese
Growing up by a river in northern Minnesota, surrounded by farm folk and Nordic landscapes, I learned the beauty of community, rigor, and playfulness. Those values stayed with me as I navigated life’s transitions—moving back to the land to support my dad’s regenerative cattle farm, healing from a mystery illness, and reuniting with my matrilineage. Serving as my grandma’s death doula taught me how to embrace change with grace, informed by the wilderness and deep family roots. Whether skipping school with skateboarders or attending church youth group, I’ve always sought depth, balance, and connection in every chapter of life.
I was the kid who passionately wrote poetry about the wilderness around me, speaking with the spirit of animals and drawing, for hours, while other kids were playing. Raised in rural Minnesota, I split my time between wrangling animals on the family farm and pouring over zines, sketchbooks and patterns in the land. I started skateboarding and snowboarding, finding my niche with a crew of gals in the streets and hillsides. At art school I designed books, advised students, and flew to New York as one of the country’s top 100 emerging designers. I was already dancing with flow: when clarity hit in the design studio at mid-night, when the forest spoke in symbols, when my heart was light in the refreshing breeze while on four wheels.
✺ Approach to the Inmost Cave
I was preparing.
And the cave was calling.
I achieved dream jobs working in the snowboarding industry and a very interactive museum designing exhibits. Then came the collapse. An autoimmune illness cracked me wide open. Corporate jobs, design leadership, political activism, and over-giving in community—all of it broke me under the pressure. So I turned inward. I started teaching Qoya—dance, yoga, somatic healing—in a cathedral on Lake Superior. I helped women move through their own thresholds, and in doing so, I saved myself.
✺ The Ordeal
Flow showed up like
wildfire all instinct, all trust.
Spirit in motion.
I rose with tools: embodied practices, ancestral insight, shamanic vision. I left corporate behind, started painting murals in the mountains for women-led spaces and tripled my creative business in the first year. My work was no longer about perfection—it was about power. I held up women in hard work, ceremony and sisterhood.
Then I finally moved to the mountains!
In 2023, I founded my creative agency and installed 12 murals with teams of women. I spontaneously rescued my magical and playful Alaskan husky, Roy. Two days later I sent my first book to the publisher. I closed my biggest, dreamiest client for a mural wayfinding project.
✺ Reward and Resurrection
Flow clicked into place.
I was no longer chasing it—I was it.
The next day, on Thanksgiving, while I was on a walk admiring a rose bush and while she was in the middle of preparing the feast for our family, my beautiful and beloved mother died suddenly, back home on the farm. Everything stopped. I returned home, back to the land, the river and the animals that raised me. My business became a bridge: between city and soil, work and ritual, modern tools and ancestral rhythms. I launched Workflow Coworking Club and Elemental Coaching—spaces where women complete their work, then integrate it with nature.
✺ Resurrection
I integrated tragedy, leaning
into the natural world.
Held by land and community my
elders and ancestors cultivated.
Now, I speak honestly about being in workflows with grief. Some days I lead with joy. With clarity. With the medicine. Whether I’m guiding women through deadlines or dancing barefoot on a mountainside, I bring back what I’ve lived through: the patterns, the power, the proof that flow is a life path.
My dream is to write five books, lead global retreats, and build a world where women have the mic more than men—where our stories shape society the way sports recaps shape culture now.
Where the essence of our daily lives is women being in a euphoric flowstate available to them in potent ways while in community, poetry and their power.
✺ Return. With the Elixir
I came back down the mountain with vision, flow-codes and a blooming network of visionary women in my field.
-
I see the map, not just the mess—
A Projector's gift to guide and bless. -
With Libra charm, I set the scene—
Where balance flows and vibes stay clean. -
An Aquarian rise, I dream what's next—For all of us, not just the text.
-
Taurus moon, I dig in deep—
Where cozy roots and promises keep. -
Scorpio's heat, my final line—
I craft what's real, beyond divine.
